About this app
WireGuard builds a private tunnel between your phone and somewhere else — your home network, the office, or a VPN provider that supports it. This is the official Android app for it.
You add a tunnel using the configuration from whoever runs the other end, then flip a switch to turn it on. It uses your phone's kernel support for WireGuard when that is available and falls back to a userspace version when it is not, so root is never required.
The app is not a VPN service on its own. You need a configuration, either from a server you set up yourself or from a provider you have an account with.
