About this app
Learn is a picture-book style app for young children who are starting to learn English. Each topic is a set of big, bright cards with a picture, and the app can say the word out loud.
The home screen has alphabets A to Z with an example for each letter, numbers, animals, body parts, birds, colours, flowers, and fruits and vegetables. Animal and bird cards also play a recording of the sound the creature makes. An Explore tab holds more topics, such as the solar system and a quiz, along with a simple drawing board where a child can doodle in different colours. There is a favourites page for saved items and a light and dark theme.
The pictures and sounds are stored inside the app, so it works without a connection, and there are no accounts or ads. It is English only, and the spoken words come from your phone's own text-to-speech voice, set to Indian English. It is a small community project, and a shapes section is still marked as under construction.
