About this app

Breathly gives you one thing: a breathing exercise to follow. Pick a technique, then watch the animation as it tells you when to breathe in, when to hold and when to let go. A few minutes of it is a simple way to settle before sleep, or after something has wound you up.

Several well-known breathing patterns are included, with spoken cues if you would rather listen than watch. There is no account, no sign-up and nothing to read first — you open it, choose a pattern and start.

It was written by one developer in his spare time and it stays deliberately small. It is a breath trainer, not a meditation course, and it does not pretend otherwise.
