About this app

Binaural Beats plays two slightly different tones, one in each ear, to nudge you into a mood — falling asleep, taking a power nap, settling down to study, or simply unwinding. Put headphones on, pick a session, and let it run.

It ships with a long list of ready-made programs, from sleep induction and insomnia relief to creativity, wakeful relaxation and shamanic rhythm, and a preset builder if you would rather design your own. You can turn the moving on-screen visuals off so the screen switches itself off while the session plays.

Headphones are essential — the effect does not happen through a speaker — and you should be somewhere safe and comfortable before starting. The brainwave claims behind some of the presets are not medically proven, so treat this as a relaxation aid rather than a treatment. The app also carries Facebook, Google and Firebase analytics code.
