About this app
VSCodroid runs a full VS Code on your Android phone. The editor, the command palette and the file search all run on the device itself rather than on a server you connect to, so you can work with no signal at all.
It comes with a proper bash terminal and the tools you would expect next to it: Node.js, Python 3, Git, npm, SSH and tmux are bundled and ready. You can install themes and language support from the Open VSX extension marketplace, preview a dev server in a tab beside your code, and reach Ctrl, Alt, Tab, Esc and the function keys from an extra key row built for touch.
It is a big app for a phone. You need Android 13 or newer on a 64-bit ARM phone, roughly 865 MB of free space to install, and 4 GB of RAM is recommended. The editor interface itself is English only.
