About this app

Quits helps a group of people split shared costs, such as a holiday, a flat or a night out. You add who paid for what, and it keeps track of who owes whom and suggests the payments that settle everyone up. It is a free alternative to apps like Splitwise and Tricount, and you do not need an account.

A cost can be split equally, by exact amounts, by shares, by percentage, or item by item for a receipt where everyone ate something different. You can also record income and payments between members, sort entries into categories, use different currencies, look at statistics and export everything as a CSV file. Everything works offline, and the app also runs as a web app in a browser.

To share a group, other people join with a code or QR code, and the group syncs between phones through a relay server, with end-to-end encryption. A free public relay is built in, or you can run your own open source one. The public relay limits how many entries a group can hold and removes groups it has not heard from for a while. The app is in English and German, and live exchange rates come from the Frankfurter service.
