HTTP Shortcuts

HTTP Shortcuts puts a button on your home screen that sends a web request the moment you tap it. That is often all it takes to switch on a smart plug, open the garage door, start a job on your home server or poke a service you use, without digging through another app to find the right screen.

You build each shortcut yourself: the address and method, any headers, a body typed in or taken from a file or the camera, and how the answer should appear, whether as a small pop-up, a dialog, a rendered web page, or nothing at all. Shortcuts can ask you for a value first using variables, sit in tabs, and be triggered from widgets, quick settings tiles or other apps like Tasker and MacroDroid. If you need more, you can run a little JavaScript before or after the request.

It copes with the awkward parts too: several kinds of login, client certificates, self-signed certificates and proxies. Everything can be imported and exported as JSON or cURL, or edited from a computer through the web editor. No ads, and free.
