What it looks like
About this app
Fridgey is a simple list of the food you have at home. Add an item with its expiry date, and a photo, category, quantity or note if you want, and the app sorts everything so whatever needs eating first sits at the top of the screen.
It sends a notification when something is getting close to its date, and a consume button counts an item down as you use it up. There is a random picker for when you cannot decide what to cook, a compact layout that drops the photos so more food fits on one screen, and CSV export and import if you want your list somewhere else.
One honest warning: the reminders depend on Android letting the app wake up in the background, and some phone makers are strict about that, so notifications are not always perfectly on time.
